What's covered
- Aftermarket car keys (6 months): transponder keys, key fobs, and smart keys we cut and programmed using aftermarket hardware
- OEM car keys (1 year): original-manufacturer keys and fobs we supplied and programmed
- Lock installation, rekeying, and deadbolt workmanship
- Ignition repair or replacement we performed
- Hardware we supplied — locks, deadbolts, smart locks (manufacturer warranty applies in addition)
What's not covered
- Hardware or keys supplied by the customer (or by a third party)
- Damage caused by misuse, accident, or third-party tampering after our visit
- Pre-existing damage to the vehicle, lock, or door before our service
- Normal wear from daily use over time
- Issues caused by attempted DIY modifications after our work
How to claim warranty
- Call us at (336) 790-2233 within the warranty window.
- Have your work order ready — the technician left you a receipt at completion. It has the service date, what was done, and the warranty terms.
- We come back outat no charge to diagnose and fix the covered issue. If the issue turns out to be unrelated to our original work, we'll quote the new repair before doing anything.
Lost the work order?
Call us or email support@mylocksmithexpress.com with the approximate service date and address. We keep records of every job and can pull yours up.
License & insurance
My Locksmith Express is licensed by the North Carolina Locksmith Licensing Board (NC License #3024), carries $1,000,000 liability insurance, is bonded, and is a member of NASTF and the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. We can provide proof of insurance before any commercial job.
