Quote on the phone is the price you pay
If your vehicle or lock requires a different technique than expected, we tell you BEFORE starting work and confirm the new price. No surprise charges at the door.
No drilling when a non-destructive method exists
Drilling destroys your lock cylinder (adds $200–$400 to fix). We use picks, slim jims, air wedges, and bypass tools that leave no marks.
No fake 'fuel surcharges' or 'holiday rates'
We don't bait-and-switch. Only after-hours (10pm–7am or weekends) carries a disclosed premium — stated on the phone before dispatch, not after.
Diagnostic / dispatch is free if we can't solve it
If we arrive and discover the job is outside our scope (e.g. dealer-only AKL on a newer Mercedes), you pay $0. We don't charge a trip fee.
Pricing FAQ
Why does it say "from" instead of one flat price?
Two reasons. (1) Some jobs cost more by hardware — a Schlage Primus deadbolt rekey takes longer than a basic Kwikset, so the final figure can land above the "from" price. (2) Your year/make/model dictates which programming platform we use for car keys. Either way, the phone quote is always a single number — the "from" price here is the starting point, confirmed before any work so you never get sticker-shock at the door.
Is the dispatch / trip fee included?
Yes. Every price listed here includes the trip and the labor for the standard job. The only add-ons are after-hours premium (disclosed before we leave) or scope changes (also disclosed before we start). Standard hours: 7am–10pm, 7 days. Outside that = $25–$45 premium on top of the base.
Why so much cheaper than the dealer?
We're mobile — no showroom rent, no parts markup, no service-writer commission. The same key, same programmer, same diagnostic tools. The dealer charges you for their overhead; we charge you for the work.
Do you take cards / Apple Pay / Cash App?
Yes — all of them. Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, and cash. We send the receipt to your email or phone immediately after payment.
What if my car needs all-keys-lost programming?
Included in the smart-key tier on most makes. Exceptions: certain newer European cars (Mercedes post-2014, VW post-2018, Land Rover post-2012) require dealer tooling we don't carry — we'll tell you on the phone before dispatch so you don't waste a trip.
Do you charge extra for after-hours?
Yes — $25-$45 premium for jobs between 10pm and 7am or on Sunday. This is disclosed on the phone before we accept the job, never added after. If you decline the premium, no charge for the call.
