Terms of Use

1. Service agreement

By requesting locksmith services from My Locksmith Express LLC, you agree to these terms. These terms are legally binding and govern all services provided. If you don't agree to any part, please don't request our services.

2. Quote & pricing

• Flat-rate quote: We confirm the total price on the phone before we dispatch a mobile unit.
• No trip fees: within our standard service area. Outside it, an additional travel fee may apply and will be disclosed in the quote.
• Quote validity: a quote is valid for the conditions described on the call. If the situation on-site differs significantly (e.g., different vehicle, different lock, additional damage), we re-quote before continuing.

3. Payment

• Payment is due upon completion of the service.
• We accept cash, all major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover), Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
• Personal checks require pre-approval.
• All charges are processed in USD.

4. No-refund policy

Locksmith services are final upon successful completion. By accepting our services, you acknowledge:

• All payments are non-refundable once the work is completed and verified to work in your presence.
• You agree not to initiate a chargeback through your credit card company for completed and satisfactory work.
• Service cannot be “returned” — it has been performed.

If something we serviced isn't working, see our Warranty page — we'll fix it at no extra charge during the warranty window.

5. Services we provide

• Automotive: car lockouts, car key replacement and programming, key fob replacement, transponder key programming, ignition repair
• Residential: house lockouts, lock rekeying, lock installation, deadbolt installation, smart lock installation
• Commercial: office lockouts, commercial rekey, master key systems, access control, security consultations
• Emergency: 24/7 lockout assistance, broken key extraction, home safe lockout

6. Service area

We operate as a mobile locksmith across the Charlotte metro and Lake Norman, NC area, including but not limited to Cornelius, Huntersville, Davidson, Mooresville, Concord, Charlotte, and surrounding cities. We don't have a walk-in office.

7. Customer verification

For your security and ours, we require:

• Valid photo ID for all lockout services
• Proof of ownership for vehicle services (title, registration, or insurance card)
• Proof of residence for residential lockouts (lease, utility bill, or photo ID matching the address) when applicable

We may decline service if we have reasonable concerns about a request's legitimacy. This protects everyone.

8. Liability & pre-existing damage

We use professional, non-destructive techniques wherever possible. However, certain situations (e.g., high-security locks, ignitions with prior damage, locked vehicles with anti-theft engaged) may require methods that risk damage. In all such cases we explain this and get your consent before proceeding.

We are not responsible for:

• Pre-existing damage to locks, keys, vehicles, or property
• Damage caused by parts you supplied
• Loss or damage caused by third parties or normal wear

Our maximum liability for any service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.

9. Cancellation

You may cancel a dispatched service at any time before the technician arrives at no charge. If the technician has already arrived on-site and you cancel before any work is performed, a trip fee may apply (disclosed in the original quote).

10. SMS / call consent

By calling, texting, or submitting our request form, you authorize us to call or text you about your service request. See our Privacy Policy for details.

11. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute arising from our services will first be attempted to resolve in good faith between us and you. If unresolved, exclusive venue will be in the state or federal courts of Mecklenburg County, NC.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always posted here with the “Effective date” above.
