The power sliding door closed with the fob inside — what do I do?

If all fobs are inside the locked Odyssey, you have an all-keys-locked-inside scenario. Do not try to force the door. Call us — we can open the vehicle without damage and then verify whether fob programming is still intact afterward. This is one of our most common Odyssey calls.

I bought a replacement fob for my 2022 Odyssey — it says KR5V2X on the box. Will it work?

No. The 2021–2023 Odyssey uses KR5T4X, not KR5V2X. The fobs are physically identical but have different electronics. A KR5V2X fob will not program to your 2021+ Odyssey. We carry the correct KR5T4X blank in our trucks — if you have an unprogrammable fob situation, we can resolve it in one visit.

Can you come to a soccer field or swim meet parking lot?

Yes. We dispatch to wherever the vehicle is located — parks, athletic complexes, school parking lots, and private club facilities. If the OBD port is accessible, we can program on-site. Call us with the address and we'll confirm dispatch.

My Odyssey has 4 fobs for different family members — do you need all of them for a new programming session?

Bring all working fobs. When we add a new fob, the procedure re-enrolls all keys at once — any fob not present during programming is dropped from the system. Showing up with all four means all four stay active after the appointment.

The 5th gen Odyssey launched in 2018 with a 7-button smart-key fob — one of the most button-heavy fobs in Honda's lineup, with rear-door open buttons standard. All 2018+ Odysseys are push-to-start with no remote head key option. The fob changed to KR5T4X for 2021, which looks identical to the KR5V2X but is not interchangeable.
