Does the CR-V Hybrid use a different key than the regular CR-V?

My 2020 CR-V fob works on the door but the power liftgate won't respond — is the fob bad?

Probably not. If the door buttons work normally, the fob is functioning. Power liftgate sensor issues on the 5th gen CR-V are common and separate from the key system. A liftgate that won't open or respond to the fob button is usually a liftgate actuator or sensor issue, not a key problem.

I have a 2017 CR-V — is my LX trim push-to-start or does it have a blade key?

All 2017 CR-V trims — LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring — use the smart proximity key system with push-button start. The 5th gen standardized across all trim levels, so there's no LX vs EX key split like there was on older Honda models.
